I know I’ve posted something like this before, but I need to post it again since I just got done from playing a wedding.

It’s so strange seeing people my age or younger than me getting married. People that don’t even look like adults yet. People who’s voices still sound like baby voices. People who still have to ask their mothers to open things. People that know so little about who they really are. It’s even more strange to think that soon, or in a few years they’ll have babies. And babies will be raising babies. I don’t want anyone to think this is a rant, it’s not. I just know that I can’t imagine myself being ready to spend the rest of my life with anyone at the age I am now. I don’t know enough about myself. I don’t know how I’ll change over the next year, the next five years, the next ten years, and I don’t know how my partner will change either. I think that’s what’s so important about your college years, you know? You’re supposed to learn about who you are, right? How can you invest all you have into someone who’s going to change, and you’ll be changing at the same time? I suppose I just don’t get how that works.
